Do we do everything we can do now? Or do we wait until we slip and do more?

might help if you describe "the plan" for the endeavour

:S From 5th to 87th overnight. I think we should do something now, perhaps reverse anything done recently and see what happens. Hold off on anything bit to see if little fixes solve things.

I've been out of town the past few days (still am). But I'm about to put the old site back up. :S

You aint kidding. Purely in the interests of experiment, I would be interested to see what would happen if we reverted to the top ranking version.

idunno . . . we're slowly gaining in google. Maybe we ought to try and ride it out a bit?
I wonder what would happen if we put the old site on a sub-domain.

We're coming back.
Currently:
Google: 48
MSN: 2
Yahoo: 11
Maybe it's taking them a while to adjust to the new site?

Did the structure of the site change? I'm surprised a site has to be totally reindexed when all that changes is the layout and a little bit of content.

Wow. 42nd place. :(
We went from 15, to 10, to 0 points. I wonder if bringing back the old site would help.

7 place from what I see. MSN is ranking us #2 giving 9 points.

Depends on where you check from. One has us as first on MSN.
That's something I've tried to get from the contest organizers. "Where will the information be pulled from?"
Two of us can try any of the search engines and get different results. I'd like to know where the computer is geographically located that will be gathering the results so we can chart our progress more specifically.
But lately we've been 1-2 in MSN, 11-15 in Yahoo, and 30-35 in google. Of course I'd like to see us nail that number one spot in MSN and see no fluctuation from it. Couple that with a top 5 in Yahoo and it wouldn't matter much about google.
I think we're making progress. :hippie:

Yay! Now just to stay there for a bit and if we can get that Google rank up a bit, it wouldn't hurt.

Google's comin' along. It wasn't too long ago we were in the 60s (http://www.forumuniversity.com/campus/attachment.php?attachmentid=77&d=1172505452).
