View Full Version : people viewing site
There's always only a few guests and now that I've figured out how to view who's online, I see that the only people ever online are search engines
That is, other than the occasional user who is online posting. But most users I have posting come from outside sources and I already knew them. How am I supposed to get other people who I've never met posting?

I see that the only people ever online are search engines :mad:It's good that search engines are crawling your site. Then others will be able to find it. :agree:
How am I supposed to get other people who I've never met posting?By having search engines index your site. Then when someone searches for "terms you've spread about," they come to your site and you bat your eyelashes at 'em and they post.
Kinda like this . . . :flirt:

Well it's great that search engines are crawling your site! That means you're indexed. Make sure the keywords and description you've set are related to the site and are terms that people will search for. Now in order to start climbing the search engine rankings (and nobody is exactly sure how to), you need to start getting quality incoming links to your site. Keep spreading the word about it - through forum signatures, by submitting to online directories, anything at all really.
Eventually people will find that it's a quality forum and they'll keep posting and eventually you'll get incoming links. Your search engine index will soar and people will start finding you when they search. After that, it's easy as pie. :)
Yeah but only search engines index it -- no one that I know of has come in through the search engine other than adwords (which hasnt helped)
