The SEO World Championship (http://www.seoworldchampionship.com/) ended, with our entry (http://global-warming-2007.com/) ending in a moderate 14th place.

I can’t say I’m not disappointed. But I’m excited and proud of our first outing into the world of SEO contests. When the journey began, I would have been happy with a top 50 finish. But, we were in the top positions more than any others I saw throughout the contest and only overtaken in the last two days by means we’ve logged to our memory banks. :)

We'll get 'em next time. :armed:

It was a fun, challenging, and learning experience. And I can’t wait to give it another go next year! :talk:

Thanks to everyone involved. :grouphug: I hope you had fun too. :dancin:

Seems like blogs won this year...I wonder why?

The only thing I can think of is the constant update of content. Hm...

I saw the top guy on google was just a blog, and he didnt even post global warming issues, just things about his site and the SEO WC. Interesting. Softwarerevue, how much did the whole project cost you? You bought links from me and others on WHT at sometime, so all that link building must of cost you quite a bit.

Perhaps you could share details :)

I think i will enter next year :) Maybe spend a few $$ and hope to come in top 3....

do you know the term link currency? if you will check how strong the backlinks of the top sites, you will know. If you have money, you will have strong links and on the top list

I googled "link currency" and only found reference to it like in your statement. Do you know a place that explains it? :)
