View Full Version : Attracting the wrong people

Lately I've gotten a few members that I do not feel are the right kinds of people I want to have posting.

My forum is basically a bodybuilding board for discussing nutrition, workout programs, and other related topics to building muscle, etc. This is a croud of its own. There is another crowd which is the mom with 3 kids who is looking to "tone up" a little/just in better shape, etc. I've been attracting this type a lot lately. And it's not that I dont want them to post on my board or I dont want to help them reach their goals, it's just that I want the board to look like a place for people who are serious about weightlifting and have potential to become big lean guys rather than your traditional middle ages adult who wants to just stay healthy.

Know what I'm saying.

Have you thought about creating a "Recreational Weightlifting" section of forums for this type of crowd? They could be lower on the page than the main forums so the site still looks professional. I don't think it's a good idea to turn any member away unless they're being disruptive. Let us know what you decide! :)
