Pssssst, hey you. :cmere:

/me looks around to make sure we're alone.

I'm going to start an online community in the first quarter of 2006. It's going to be focussed around Aussie Politics. I'm very passionate about aussie politics, and there's always something going on, and it wouldn't take much to build a fairly active community.

I intend to run the community on VB 3.5. I'm quite excited about the project actually. Looking at this skin, I'll probably use the same skinner as FU. :)

I don't expect it to be a calm and pleasant forum :rargue: although there will be no vulgar language. I'm looking forward to the hightened emotion and interaction with fellow aussies, as we wade through tough and controversial political issues. Maybe one day the community could be Australis's largest online political forum? That would be a powerful entity, imo, not that I'm out to obtain power.

I'm going to start it off like a blog, and post my daily thoughts about political issues etc. If other folks want to interject and join in, then they can jump into the fray. So it's kinda like my blog, but it's a forum where others can get involved. Not that with blogs others can't get involved, but not in the same way they can with a forum, if you get my drift.

Hmmm, now I'm getting nervous. :chairhide

Just wanted to share that, and no doubt I'll be drawing on the wisdom of this community, for that venture.

So you are basically saying you are gonna talk to yourself for a while (like bloggers do :P)?

It could be a goer, but I hope you will excuse in me advance for not joining? ;)

Good luck with it Bob!

Yeah, I figure I'll do the blog thing :yak: but with a forum platform, instead of a blog platform. I think it's a goer. :iunno:

If you like talking politics, ain't no reason it can't work out for you.

A lot of forums spring from the power of one. :)

Let us know how it goes for you!

Unless one can predict the future, we don't know how things are going to work, until we get thing's a workin.'

We can do all the planning and do all the research; but we won't know, until we know.

So, get started! You have the basics. You're not going to know the result until you know. Just let us know when you know; ya know? :greenthum
