Hi! I'm new here, but wanted to introduce myself, and also look for tips, tricks, and comments. My friends and I are really into gaming and other stuff about gaming. We had a forum just for us, and we got to thinking about it, and we decided to create a community for all gamers. Why make it just about us? Why not the whole world? I'm new at this, but I hope that things will go smoothly.

You've picked a difficult genre there, as many such forums already exist. Nevertheless that doesn't mean yours can't work, just be prepared to put a bit of effort into it.
Good luck!

Why make it just about us?Because it's all about you.
Well, if you want it to be. :)
Why not the whole world?Because then you have to offer the whole world something.
Not that there's anything 'wrong' with that. In fact, you can start with a forum just for you and then gradually add more general content to entice the world.
