Hi guys,
Im starting a new free post2host hosting company. I just want to know if having a ticket system and a forum is enough or a website is also required to have a better appearance?
Also, i want to know how to get more people in forums. We haven't started yet to give hosting, but we'll soon.

Thanks!

You hosting plans should be on a regular site with the forums used for support. I've seen dozens of free hosts where you have to try finding the plans on their forums and it is a turn off for many.

While Jan is absolutely correct, there are very successful hosting companies that are built around a forum. The key is getting it done right - the plans need to be clearly listed and easy to find. Some good examples are http://www.httpme.com and http://www.dotable.com (both are founded by the same person).

Could somebody please throw a light, how post2host earns?

adsense only?

I have several forum software license spare and my servers have hundreds of gigs without use.

Well, thanks for your replies. I will use a website plus the forums.

I actually did something similar way back when the infomas breezeland.com collapsed.

We just had a forum and a reseller account nothing more and it worked quite well. Details on our 3 month stint: http://www.free-webhosts.com/reviews/NichNet.php :)
