You can try Cerberus Helpdesk (http://www.cerberusweb.com/). I believe it's free for 3 users and should be easy to install (http://wiki.cerberusdemo.com/index.php/Installing_4.0).

Thats cool they make 3 free users, previously it was 1.

Layeredtech was using cerberus and they had some serious problems with cerberus lats month. I hope they fixed it now.

You may also want to take a look at Trellis Desk. Its completely free, unlimited and has the features of many commercial desks. We used it for a while before we switched our billing system.

We have installed Trellis. It looks good but we are still testing it.

Thanks Rob

Cerberus really isn't very user friendly (in my mind). I'd go with something else if possible, their "workflow" isn't great, and their parser is even worse.

Are you looking for something for your forum/website, or something for clients? I know several helpdesk's that are inexpensive and work well for clients. If it's for a forum, what I usually do is create a forum where users can post and see their own threads, but not other users threads. This allows them to create "tickets" that all admins / mods can see and reply to.

Hi Leo,

No problem, your welcome :D

I didn't really like the look of Cerberus - it looked a little 'plain' for the price its selling at. Although i have no doubt that it suit some users perfectly.

I also tested SugarCRM and it's a pain to install.

We like Perl Desk here. Works well for what it is.
