What do you guys do to combat the spam posts created by spam members? We installed nospam! but either they are getting past that as well or are real people just deciding to cause damage.(posts are now including pornographic images).

Well, they probably are real people then. :)

Best you can do is ban them. Ban them, ban their IP, ban (censor) what they're spammin', ban anything you can about them.
