I have no html experience and the only time I was sort of involved in a forum was watching an IT guy spend a week keep setting up a phpBB Forum and then I left that company the day he said it was ready!
Would I be able to set one up with no experience?
It will not have that many users but will be picture intensive so do I need to pay for a decent bandwidth and what is a decent bandwidth!
Thanks

Most forum software is extremely easy to set up for the novice.
You don't really need to know HTML. But you do have to understand how to set up a db. And be comfortable making some simple edits.

You might want to look for a host that has something called Fantastico which performs automated installs of common software.

What is the difference between hosting sites that offer free forum services and paid for services? How much does a forum cost if the disadvantage of not paying is too much?

Those that offer free forum services supplement that by running ads on your site. They generally limit what you can do and offer upgrades for a price. But the software is preconfigured and you don't have to worry about much of anything.
A paid service 'rents' you some space. From there, you can install forum software and have your way with it. :)

I like control, I strive for it. Control comes in many forms, and having money is one, and having a controllable forum is another.
If I paid for it, what price would you say is reasonable.
Or would you recommend using a free service? I am already on several forums that offer a free service and are filled with advertisements, which I simply ingore. Are there any humble forums services that have no advertiasments and are still free, because they are so simple?
Thanks
