Hello all,
I decided to join the University to share what I've learned from years of (somewhat) successful run and administration of online communities. I remember my first 'gig' was a Moderator position at www.HostingDiscussion.com 3 years ago. My daily responsibilities and knowledge of community management grew, so 2 owners later, I purchased the site.
Bringing it from catastrophic 300 members into active 5000+ member community was not easy, but not so complicated as well. The key is in finding your route and sticking to it, as well as finding those few great staffers to help you along the way.
I hope to contribute to FU with my existing knowledge and advice, as well as perhaps learn a thing or two.
Best,
