<wipes tear from eye> They remembered. :D
36 today, and feeling like I'm 21 again. We just got back from a weekend away WITHOUT THE 5 KIDS!!! :pink: and I"m feeling ontop of the world.
A good mate of mine got married in Brissie, so we went to the wedding and reception, and then stopped over at my sister's place on the Gold Coast. The kids stayed at Wendy's folks place.
Got up Sunday morning and went to the beach for a quick swim. Then me and the mrs (WITHOUT THE 5 KIDS!!!) walked along the beach for an hour or so, dreaming about one day building a beachfront home on the Gold Coast.
We then went to Pacific Fair for lunch and light shopping, and in a diamond store we saw a pair of lady's shoes valued at $320,000.00!, and then checked out the tallest residential building in the world (Q1 (http://www.qtallesttower.com/)). It was massive.
Then we stopped off at a nice cafe (WITHOUT THE 5 KIDS!!!) on the way back to my sister's place for an hour or so. Read a paper and just hung out. Was a great weekend away. :D

You took the words out of my mouth, so here's another birthday cake to keep us, I mean him going. :cake:
:dgrin: It's all downhill from there. :dlaugh:
Hey! I've been trying to convince him that getting older is good and that being older isn't "old," and then you say that? Life is a richer experience as you get older and gain experience and perspective. :soapbox:
Then again, I imagine you feel old faster when you have SIX KIDS. :bananad: :chairhide
Lois
There's leftover birthday cake in the Lounge, and Jan's bringing in a new cake later today.
Any left? Or have I missed the boat? :cake:

When I hit 40, in 4 years, there's no more birthdays after that. I'm banning birthdays, period. :dfingers:
