Of course hacking shouldn't be allowed. Keep your software up to date and you will prevent it.

White Hacking is also known as ethical hacking.

Should it be allowed? Yes, however only with approval from the owner of the network/app/whatever you are hacking. With out permission you are just as bad as some script kiddie causing havoc.

I'm guessing you are referring to penetration testing. The keyword being testing. Meaning you are authorized to do it. In which case, you can make a nice living doing it. But the second you penetrate something you are not authorized to, people like me come looking for you. ;)
