hi all,
i think to star a new forum you have some special offer to your new members. eg. i offered a free domain registration for 1 year for new poster if they post XX wihting a specifica date.
The problem is to have back all members at least at 4 times a week and also to get them post new threads.

Something like that could end up costing a lot of money. If you have it to spend, I guess it isn't really a problem but I don't think anything beats unique content when it comes to starting up a forum.

I would save spending money for competitions or if you do have money to spend, a little bit of basic advertising can't hurt getting the forum out there.

Also, welcome to FU :wavey:

Promotions can be a good method to attract new members, but content keeps them.

Since I can't read your forum, it's hard to offer specific suggestions. But, don't spread yourself too thin. Try and find something basic and unique that you want to focus content on. And then fill that up. :)

There's always the problem with offering some reward for signing up, that once the "lure" is over, the newly acquired members won't bother posting again.

Perhaps you can try approaching European hosts to see if they are interested in advertising there? If you address them personally and not by bulk email, they may consider joining to cover the European market :) Good luck and :welcome:
