Hi everyone :)

I was browsing the WHT forums, came across a topic about populating forums, followed the link, and arrived here. Pleased to meet you all.

My name is Gerry :D

A little about me:

I currently work in a photo lab printing photos, and my education is in Graphic Design. I dearly want to find a well paying job as a designer, but I am patient. I'd prefer to work for a game developer and I realize that those jobs don't come very often.

My hobbies are web design, community development, and drawing. When I have time, I also enjoy participating in the beta for a game called Guild Wars, watching a good movie, or listening to a good song.

Anyway, that's enough about me. *grin*

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone :)

I'll try to be helpful where I can, and not bogart all the welcome food. :D

There might be someone else registering after me, and I certainly don't want to be known as the guy who eats the last danish.

well, you know, with a forum that could help me learn to promote my own forum, it was only a matter of time before I found here. ;)

My forums had actually been doing pretty good a year ago before they were afflicted by that nasty disease known as Affordable Host. All said, if every member lost were accounted for, my board membership would be hovering around 4500 members. Instead, my board is a little over 2600 and a pooched vBulletin style. I've lost databases, lost complete designs, basically, I'm looking at last january's design and trying very hard not to cry.

The only positive I can think of is that there is nowhere else to go but Up^ and I've since moved the entire site over to a dedicated setup. As you can tell, I'm pretty open about my opinions. :P
