Soooooooo, Jan, remember that WHT thread you split (http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=458374), about those with high post counts possibly donating them or something, well, here's what I came up with for that -

It's a variant of the pixel ad sites (MDHP etc), but with a charitable twist, and I lose my WHT post counts too.
So there's the three aspects -
(1). Strip my WHT post count - sock it to me. :eyep:
(2). Get some advertising depending on how many posts you take away from me.
(3). All monies are donated to charity. I'll even cover the fees charged from PayPal etc, and donate the full amount to the charity.
I think the metrics works, given the small amount being raised ($10k), and working only inside the walls of the WHT community. I'll always have a link to TakeMyPosts.com in my WHT sig, that's attached to approximately 16,000 posts. The more ad space you buy, the more WHT posts I lose, and the more $$ that's donated to charity. I'll post receipts as I donate $$$ from the revenue raised.
I'll also request from the WHT admins, that they deduct posts from my WHT post count too, over the duration.
BTW, talking with the lady on the phone at the charity (starlight foundation), she didn't understand what post counts were. I hate trying to explain that kinda stuff to folks that don't know much about the net. :pullhair:
