Hey guys (and gals?),
I've been visiting this forum often as I have been trying to develop what I hope to be a large community, at least at some point. Im sure we all hope for that when we first start out.
Anyway, I bring to the world my new baby, she’s only a few days old, but a few weeks in planning & development:
Http://www.HomeRepairHow2.com - It is/will be a community driven by Do-it-yourselfers and homeowners looking for answers to questions in regards to Home Improvement and Repairs.
The front page needs some more content, Im still pondering with ideas... Im contemplating a Product Review section down the road, until then, feel free to visit, criticize, test and join what I hope to be a successful community...

Hi Goober
I would like to take a look at your baby, but I cannot reach it. Trying through a proxy, it's working fine. So... are you blocking some IP ranges? checking by dnsreport, it returns
ERROR. One or more of your DNS servers are missing A records (per NS records that may be cached). As a result, they cannot be used. The problem hostnames are:
ns1.goober.ca. has no A record.
ns2.goober.ca. has no A record.

I can't reach it either, and I'm in a different part of the world than you are.

Welcome Goober :wavey:
Looks like a nice place you have there, certainly not a common subject. Good luck with it :greenthum

I did do a google search on the subject, and it didnt look to saturated, I mean, yes, I know I am competing with another forum, but only one, and Im sure not alot of people know about it. I figure with the right advertising/promotion I should be able to pull this off.
Anywho, major storm overnight, killed power and now I have a nice ceader tree across my backyard, eh, I needed some firewood anyway.
Thanks everyone on the comments, I plan on posting in the reviews also.

Hey, we're neighbours! I see from your whois details that you're also in the Lower Mainland. I'm right in Vancouver. The house is still standing and we didn't lose any power, but not everyone was so lucky. :(

I go camping all the time, its not often a site will give you the wood to burn, and im sure not paying 5$ a bundle for it. Its also nice to burn in the evening in the fireplace.
Was cutting it up sunday with a buddies chainsaw and broke the pull start, went out over the weekend with some friends (my weekend was sunday till tues night this week) and was hoping the dam thing wouldnt be their when I got back, i guess I shouldnt be suprised to still see it. :)
Barrowing another chainsaw from work today, hopefull finish that up tonight/tomorrow in whats left of the daylight when I get home.
Back to the site though:
Or maybe I should start a new topic in the reviews?
Im looking for ideas to promote this community, I checked the other day and Google has crawled the front page, not bad considering its only been online a week, checking every day to see about the rest of the site, im hoping searches will bring in a bunch of trafic. But what other resources can I use?
