Hello Everyone,

It is with great anguish that I must sell my site. I have developed SF (http://www.superbfiles.com), with my own two hands. I have spent many many many hours into it. It is like a child to me, which is why it's so sad that I must sell it.

Background Information

I started developing SF as a turnkey site. I soon fell in love with it, and developed it as a site of my own. Today it is a full featured download site with technical news. Every single article and application is original, and most were done by myself or one of my staff members. There are about 200 custom written articles and about 300 custom written applications. This site is truly unique and many man-hours went into it. SF is fully controlled by a backend (administration panel). It is a fully featured CMS, completely custom programmed by myself. The design is also completed by myself. I am throwing in the previous design, priced at about $150. The previous design can be seen here (http://www.superbfiles.com/old_layout.jpg). The design can easily be made XHTML Strict validated. The design itself was made valid until content filled it and I didn't feel like changing it back.

SuperbFiles has been running since November of 2005, however a good majority of people accessed and knew about it in the beginning of October.

It truly is a unique site combining both technical news and downloading applications.

Traffic

SF is not very old, however, it is doing fantastic for how young it is. With the correct ownership and marketing skills, with a few dollars, it can easily excel into a fully blown site! I do not have the marketing skills nor the money to accomplish this, sadly. The traffic SF currently gets is mostly by word-of-mouth.

The stats for this month so far, and January can be seen here (http://www.superbfiles.com/stats.jpg).

Revenue

I have never stuck any "real" advertisements on SF. The only ads there are, are sponosorships to either my sites or any sites that did a link back. Therefore, there is no revenue. I have heard some great things that these types of sites are good money-makers, since many ads are trying to sell/Download free trials etc.

CMS

As I've said previously, SF's script is the biggest and best creation I've done to date. It has a full administration panel where you can control everything that is needed. It is protected very well, that you must be a) logged in, and with the administration rights b) you then must login with a separate user/pass which will then check for cookies from then on.

Some of the many features the script has are:

Full script with a GUI.
Ability to add, remove or edit news or software.
User reviews on software system that a link via e-mail must be activated.
Ability to rate software.
Send to friend for software and news.
Option to alert the editors in case of a broken link.
PDF version of news.
Print friendly version of news.
Full RSS (XML) features for all categories of news and general RSS for software.
Fully featured login system with the ability to change profile preferences.
Ability to install/uninstall software (must be logged in).
Ability to hide/show certain items on the right column.
All dynamic content on homepage.
Templates for header/right column/footer.
Clean URLs through mod_rewrite for easier SE indexing and no mention of the programming language used.
Custom Google Sitemap generator (auto pings Google) and Yahoo! Sitemap generator (must be sent to Yahoo! manually).
This is just some of the many features of the script. To fully feature the script, I highly suggest you register and poke around to see all the features.

I do not care what you do with the script. You get full rights for the script when you purchase SF. There is no script like this to my knowledge, so it can easily be turned into a fully feature turnkey and sell it for about $200 a pop. I am leaving you that option, I will reiterate what I said - I do not care what you do with the script! There are some things about the coding to be desired, but it works and can normally tell what section of the code is doing what.

Domain

SuperbFiles.com is registered through NameCheap and expires on:

July 27th, 2006.

I will push the domain to your NameCheap account at no charge. Privacy protection is included with the purchase.

Why are you selling?

Okay, you have a huge potential site why in the world are you selling it?

I am selling it because of lack of time. I have put up an excuse for a few weeks (the red bar saying that SF is currently experience technical difficulties), but this is not true. The truth is that I simply do not have the time to cater to SF. I am neglecting it, and it is hurting me to see it go untouched after all the hard work I put into it.

Price

I am doing this in an auction style. I will start the bidding at $1,000 and the BIN will be at $1,600. The auction will end one week after the first bid is placed. Payment is to be sent via Paypal. No other option will be accepted for this large sum. Payment must first be sent, and I will wait 2-3 business days to make sure there are no issues with the payment. Once 2-3 days are up, and there are no issues with Paypal, I will go ahead and send it to you. If you have phpMyAdmin installed on your server, I will be more then happy to setup SF on your server at no additional charge.

FAQ

I am seeing "SuperbFiles is currently undergoing a few backend issues. We hope to be fully functional shortly.", what is wrong?

There are no issues with SF. I have put this message up as an "excuse" (if you will), as I have no time to manage SF. I have not posted any new news article or software application in some time.

What if there is a bug after I purchase?

I will be more then happy to repair any bug(s) you encounter, up to a month after the purchase. After that, you must pay me what my clients pay for me to program. If however, it is a huge bug that was there and you did not cause it, I may fix it depending on the circumstances. If you however created a bug, I will not fix it even if it is within the month time.

I can't tell what language this is in. What do I need to run it?

You will need Apache with the mod_rewrite enabled, PHP 4 (or greater) along with MySQL. Now this is the tricky part...SF uses subdomain on subdomain. An example of this is: http://internet.news.superbfiles.com/ I do not use cPanel myself, but to my understanding you must edit a httpd.conf to do this yourself. I will not do this for you, I do not have sufficient server administration knowedlege.

So I get 2 designs with this purchase?

That is correct. The one you see on SF currently, and the previous one. You will also recieve a SF banner (http://www.superbfiles.com/sf_banner.gif)!

What if I have a question you did not answer?

I encourage you to PM me with anything you need to know. I do not bite! In fact, I hope to hear any questions or concerns you may have. I am here to assist you!

Why should you bid on SuperbFiles?

How in the world am I going to pay at least $1,000 for a site that has little traffic!

Simple enough! I am asking for this price for all the man-hours I have spent programming, adding software, adding news, designing SF. I have spent so many hours in SF that it has become almost a child to me.

I have completed the following list on you why you should bid on SF today.

Fully featured CMS. I have spent many many months working on it, building it from the ground up, adding features in it that other sites and CMSes do not have. It is fully custom. It is very easy to change anything within the code, it is basic PHP/MySQL so almost any beginner programmer can understand the code.
Custom Content. SuperbFiles is nothing but custom content! With about 200 custom articles written by SF staff, and with about 300 applications in the database it makes it very easy to update! Search Engines love big sites with custom content. And with the custom sitemap generator, it will make SEs even easier to navigate and index SF.
Two custom designs. With the purchase of SF, you will get two custom designs. The current one you see now, which I have designed and is XHTML Strict valid without any content on - with a header/right column/footer template for easy changes. You will also get a custom XHTML Strict valid design that was used previously at SF purchased at about $150.
The poentital! With a few dollars and a bit of marketing background, SF can become a huge thriving site with hundreds of writers and editors writting every hour of every day to fill the technical world full of news and to provide users with a huge index of the best of the best downloadable applications.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this, and I hope to hear from you and maybe even recieve a bid from you!

Best,
Tyler Cole

Changin' it up a bit. You PM, post, however you want, saying "SOLD", it's all yours. No bidding, no auction. Just a straight buy. :)

Thanks.
