Hi,

Having always wanted to start a successful online community i came up with the idea and made it happen! The site (although not complete yet) has only been up and running for about 3-4 weeks but i want to be prepared for what will... or probably won't come!!!

The site is aimed at the UK as covers the topic of Diet!!! The main site will (when complete) contain a list of diets, descriptions and a vote poll. This then leads to the forum... which obviously needs some members at some point for it to work.

First question from the newbie is: Do we think this idea will work and what is the best way of getting members to my forum (other than advertising?).

Anyways thoughts and feedback on my new site and any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!!!

I didn't think I would care for that shade of green, but it seems to work very well on your site. Nicely done. It just gives me a nice serene feeling.

I don't know if this is actually considered a "diet", but take a look at Master Cleanser (http://www.naturalways.com/master-cleanser.htm). I tried it a while ago and it was effective.

I agree with vito, good job. :)

It certainly isn't one of the most common forum topics out there, so I think you'd have a good chance for an active community.

As for getting members: add content, submit directories (including FU's topsite ;)), include your URL in your sig where allowed and most of all...persevere!

All the best with your forum

Yeah, love the green. That's actually a similar color to the feature wall in our upstairs family/TV room. Lime green.

I like the theming with your apples too. Nice touch. The site looks good. Best of luck getting it off the ground! :)

I would tone down the green background a couple more shades, or add a bit of contast colour to the forum :)

Try decrease the contrast of your computer monitor and turning up the contrast! :p

Right have managed to get the contact page up and running, things are going rather slow at the moment cause ive just got back from holiday... seem to be through a bit of a lazy period!

Have updated the about page a bit more and fixed a couple of the W3C errors.

Slowly starting to build up some more links for directories and other such places.

On, on...
