Gain some links from other related diet/health websites
Get my ad listed on related online newsletters
Get 100 incoming links from general directories / unrelated sites
Get people to signup to the free forum and post some messages (25 people)
Reach the 100 forum signup mark!!!
Complete the main content of the site and other missing sections eg. diet lists, votes, contact page and about page.

question what time scale should i put on all 8 points? 100 days? i think 6 months is slightly more realistic due to the slowness of google ranking etc... 100 days is a little to short!!! Things like this obviously take time and ive got quite a bit of it at the moment!!!

You could break it into parts. Set a goal of, say 100 days for #s 3, 6, and 8, and 6 months for the rest. :)

i think that sounds more reasonable... i mean the site is well designed in itself, and passes all the guidelines... so i just need to concentrating on building the content and voting system... currently working on the contact page(s) at the moment.
