I just wanted to say thanks to the Forum University staff and to all the members that got me started on optimizing my site for the search engines back in December 2005.
:google: Today Google ranked my site with a PR4 and it has been open for only 2 and a half month. I don't know how good of a ranking that PR is but, since I only expected a PR1 at the most, I'm feeling really, really happy about it and wanted to share my joy with you.
 Thanks you all again

Thanks guys!
Funny thing is that this morning I did some spelling corrections in all my pages and the PR went away. Hey, maybe Google like misspelled words. I'm hoping it will come back soon.

I still see a PR 4 on your home page.
What page are you looking at that seems different? Remember that not all pages will be the same PR. And http://www. is often different than http:// :)

I try both ways at the home page and still can't see it. Last night I had PR4 in the home and PR3 at my other pages. It's very conforting to hear that you can see it.
I think Google is giving me a handover from last night, don't want me to get carried away and making too much noises about it.

Well, google's going through an update of late. So, it could be that you're getting information from some of their servers that haven't been updated.
It'll all sort out. :)

You are right, after all what really matter is the position in the SERP and, with my main keyword, I'm doing number 1 in MSN and 6 (17 millions) with Google. Not too bad for a new site.
Hey SoftWareRevue, I been wanting to ask you for a while to free my ignorance... Where is Kalamazoo at?
Isn't that a suburb of Timbuktu? :P
Glad things are working out for your site. Must be a great feeling, especially being a late starter :)

It's in Africa, near Timbuktu. :dancin: You must have heard the song about Kalamazoo and Timbuktu. :joker: :chairhide

I've been to California. Have you been to Michigan?
We've got pretty good jet ski water around here.
Better bring a good wet suit this time of year though. :D

Thanks Jan,
It's a great feeling and worth all the time and effort invested getting there.
You must have heard the song about Kalamazoo and Timbuktu.
Lois,
I had heard the song but didn't know where at, in world, it was. Thanks for educating me.
Thanks, too, for your advices about "dmoz" 2 months ago. I did follow your ideas on been an editor but, instead of doing it with "dmoz", I did became an editor with "skaffe" and a Jetski Librarian at the "Sport Virtual Library" about a month ago. I think that getting involved in these activities has help a lot in promoting my site and getting it ranked at an early ege. Thanks. :greenthum

I though it was in Africa

The farther I have been, going northeast, was Las Vegas, NV, and it was cold enough for me in the winter. I did live in Miami, FL, with my "Cubans" cousins but that is a whole different weather.
We've got pretty good jet ski water around here.
Lots of member at the ultra150 forum are from your area and it seems jet skiing is very popular sport in your backyard.
Better bring a good wet suit this time of year though. :D
If you are going to wait for me grab :couch: some :coffee: and :food: because I may take a very, very long time to get there with all the snow in my way to kalamazoo. :smokin:

You never know, it could be a ploy to confuse the squirrels.

Its definitely the banana, Banana.
In all seriousness, I thought SWR was in Georgia.
And I like the song "Saginaw, Michigan" by Hank Williams Sr. Too bad I saw it more often on CMT than I ever have on Country Radio.
