Hey,
I am looking to get a few companies that can do a lot of posts for a forum of mine.

The topic is very specific so only people interested and that have knowledge can get involved.

Yet again its the chicken and the egg situation, I need to get posts before people will register.

has anyone got experience with companies for specific topic posts with a LOT of posts per campaign?

I am about to start a forum and I am spend a few thousand on paid posts alone, the topic is specific and I want a company that actually does lok at the quality of their posts, most say they do but I know from experience they don't and don't provide any help twards their posters.

Should I find people that would be interested in the subject myself and offer to pay them for posts and mange it, or do you know, and have EXPERIENCE, with a company that is good with specific topic posts?

These companies are becoming a dime a dozen now and I think you might be hard pressed to find a decent one. I have looked at a couple of samples. In the first one, the posts were relevant, but it did nothing to boost the forum. Last I looked, those "posters" were the last to post. The second example, one of the "employees" had copied posts from another forum and pasted them at his alloted forum.

You would certainly need to look at at least three examples from any one company before hiring them.

Yep been doing that for a few months Jan.
Only one has been good but they are very expensive and I don't know if its worth it, it would be better using my own time to manage the posters.

I had a lot of problems with people posting copied posts from other forums and the companies didn't help at all.
It was easy to see when they were doing it, all the other posts were under 10 words, every now and again I would see some great, detailed posts and knew it was someone copying it from another forum.

It has that fake feel, imo. It's like paying people to turn up at your party, or rent a crowd. It's not real. They're fake. I'd feel kind of duped if I was at a party and I found out most of the other people were rent-a-crowd. :iunno:

Yes the paid posting services are a dime a dozen. Some are inexpensive with terrible quality about them. They do a diservice to those who really are out there to provide quality service at affordable prices.

I am sure in due time many of the services will fall out of grace and fall into forum dead haven. While others will stand out and remain through the test of time.

I know there is a site that lists all of the services - I think there are like over 50 services. The site also provides articles on what paid posting is about and what things to look for when hiring one.
