Well lately we have had some decline in active members chatting on the forum. The problem is that it is indeed a hosting channel in which members can discuss numerous topics. Well, we haven't had any new topics posted by members. Now, regarding web hosting in general what would you guys suggest in topic wise to post about to stir things up a bit. I mean, we should know better I know, but we have "writers block" :D

Are you talking about hosting chat or babble in general? The best way to get people to say something is to ask a question. Figure out something you want to know either about your users or perhaps something your users might know. Cheap and easy threads but if there aren't any posts to reply to then people aren't going to come on as often to start new ones either.

Questions questions questions.
I'm with TheDPQ. Ask questions.
Since it's a hosting forum, you might want to ask what enhancements they'd like. Maybe ask how you're doing when it comes to support and/or service. Throw in some, "Has anybody heard of . . ," even it it's "off-topic."

Agreed, and we will approch that theory in coming days. I am sure the community will slowly but surely start to get back to normal after we implement such strategy.

Also great for replies. I have a design community so i can easily ask simple things they left out. How long did it take, what tools did they use, did they use any rescourse images.
The AMD vs Intel, windows vs linux, cpanel vs H-Sphere type things usually get a few in.

Topics consisting of "Where do you live?" , "Where would you like to visit?" & "What are your hobbies", often lure the members in and keep them posting for quite a good period of time.
