My incentive for people to join my netowork of upcoming forums (http://largechimp.com) is to give free templates and graphics out to those registered.
its going to be an incentive for people to join the community and when there on other people will see its popular and that they will get questions answered. therefor it wil entice more and more to sign up.
i currently have approximatly 5000 templates and graphics to give out. i would say an efficient thing to do is to make 5 foumrs and divide them up.
can i have some vewis on this please :D

If you plan on having a serious download area i wouldn't make it forums and attachments. I would look at getting some sort of addon that makes it a bit more functional.

You want to launch 5 forums at once? That's a lot I think, careful you don't overstretch yourself.
Apart from that, I think it's a good idea. You might want to think about whether giving free stuff to anyone who signs up is what you want, or whether you want them to contribute first. :)

When you say 'forums' do you mean forum topics or actual seperate forums.
Wouldn't it be better to grow your forums first and then offer incentives to contributing members? Offering incentives to sign up might look good in number registered, but will they post after they get their freebie?

If you have almost 200 members, I'm sure they'll be some there who've been active for a while. I'd suggest asking them if they'd like to help out, then check out the ones that say yes. :)
