Hi guys;
I started a Nintendo Wii Gaming forum late April this year (April 27th) on http://www.wiigamingtalk.com and I'm seeing little success. The forum is targeted for gamers who are interested about the new console and for discussions about the console and its games. We just reached the 100th registered user milestone (I didn't notice it as I was playing solitare on msn with my girlfriend), so I'd say we're still a small but growing community.
As far as advertising goes, this forum have only been advertised on MSN to local friends, IRC to some channels I camp in (both showed little result), and Google AdWords, which gave about 1% conversion rate on the 1% CTR. I am 99% certain that the past few days of E3 have also got a few people interested about the forum, but we may never see them come back again because E3 is over and they may have lost their hype.
I would like to request a review on the forums. In fact, please do tear it down and give me some constructive critisisms so I can built it up nicely and properly again.
Currently, I have around $300 USD worth of AdWords credit pending for my "go" to start more aggressive advertising (CPC is around 7 to 20 cents for the keywords), and around $50 USD worth of funds ready for more advertisement. Taken those into account, please also provide some information as to how you think I should use the budget to advertise the site (and hopefully get good ROI).
