This has been bugging me for a while, perhaps someone here knows what's it called and/or how it works (see attached).

I'm pretty sure that it's not something google does automatically, but I could be wrong :iunno:

I have absolutely no idea how they work and judging by the Google results (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22extra%20links%22%20%22search%20results%22) for '"extra links" "search results"', no one else does either.

Thanks B33R, I that looks like it :)

And the answer is: it’s all algorithmic. The algorithms pick the sites where this could be helpful.
