Humm, I've never been too impresed by these advertising schemes, plus the fact I've got a horizontal scrollbar on that site is also annoying.

One other thing, just since I'm being critical, if I was submitting my link there, I would like the link to actually point to my domain, not a redirect. This gives me a link which is what search engines are after.

Just my 2 cents.

Why would someone choose your site over traditional banner or keyword advertising?

Your 'how to purchase' link on the about us page links to http://www.pixelmilhao.com/ad/index.php

Also on you terms page you say: You are purchasing a pixel lasting atleast 1 year.

On your FAQs you say: Your pixels will last atleast 60 days.

Then on your blog/site you say its free

I created a new account and noticed it said 'your logo here'. Not very professional.

Edit: I 'get it' the 60 days is for the free pixels. It was a bit annoying to manually select all the blocks. IT would be cool just to be able to drag-select the area you want to work with.

Might want to work on some of the wording. Its not 100% clear on what you need to do at first.

So i did added it and its already up and i'm really noticing how pixelated the others one look. Am i just the only one who had an image that was a nice number? No resizing.

Also on a random note, our 'motto' or whatever you want to call it actually makes it look like i made that image just for 'forumpixel' haha.

The original worked well for the college student. I am sure it will work for a small handful of people. But I know many people are selling this script for $1 when it can be found for free.

I know the original pixel script owner said in his FAQ about copy cats of his idea

Not at all. It is bound to happen (this is the internet afterall), and infact, I think it will work in my favour. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So I think any copy-cat sites will only have pure comedy value, whereas mine possibly has a bit of comedy PLUS some actual pull in terms of advertising dollars (I will be able to afford swanky socks, they will only get to buy crappy ones probably! They could have my old ones, if they like).
So I say good luck to the imitators! While in my opinion it's not very cool - I would prefer to come up with something original - in many ways the act of copying (perhaps more on a subconcious level than anything) is the basis of all creativity. But yeah, really bad rip-offs are seriously lame - I mean, if you're gonna copy the concept, at least come up with your own design and text!

UK folks > am I bothered? :)

So like he said make your site more original than his idea or add extra things in there as well.
