I do think it needs new buttons though. Only other thing I'm not to sure about is the header, it's quite big and not very empty.
There must be something which can fill in the space there? I'm not one to usually advocate ads, but it surely needs something...user login maybe?

Scott,
yes banner is huge, but on my widescreen it kinda looks nice... I checked it under 1024*768 on my pc and it does look huge... on 1920*1200 its perfect, not sure... maybe I'll optimize it for lower resolutions...
no, I'm not planning to use ads of any sort... its a student forum and I finance it from my pocket, and I want it to be like that... I want it to stay non profit!
I was thinking, maybe I could put some buttons over there in the header, like forum | arcade etc... check this screenshot:

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. I think that helps fill in the space quite nicely. :greenthum

:D cool! and one more, I'm really concerned about load speeed, FU loads so fast and my FM loads really slow... especially the quick reply box! could that be caused by errors of my customization... ? and footer is abit slow too :(

I don't think it's slow, although I can't see the quick reply. Plenty of slower forums out there, so I wouldn't worry about it (unless it is ridiculously slow with quick reply).
