What defines a roll post? I mean I now pretty much from wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll). Basically what I am asking is is this a troll post (http://www.letpoliticstalk.com/showthread.php?tid=34&pid=389#pid389). I mean post number 15.
One of my mods wanted it removed for trolling. I was less inclined to do this because we promote members to have their own opinions. I'm not sure here just asking for secondary advice :nervous:.
I have started to notice one of my moderators appears to have a heavy handed approach to moderating. Well, Was I right? Was I wrong? Some direction in this would be helpful please.
Thanks :agree:

Is that this post (http://www.letpoliticstalk.com/showthread.php?tid=34&pid=389#pid389)?
It doesn't really appear trollish to me. The thread, in fact the entire site, seems to encourage strong diverse opinions.
Granted, there was a month lapse between the last post and this post, but it basically only echoes the first post in the thread. Maybe that's the concern? Thread bumping?

You was right. :)

Thanks for the advice. I think he may have a had a problem with bumping. I will go over things with all moderators because I don't want our community to appear heavy handed in moderation.
Thanks for that. I will talk with my moderator tonight and post if everything is okay.
We did have a member drop out before because of our moderation policy. I don't want it to happen again especially as the forum is in it's early stages.
Matt :)

Just looks like an opinionated person, not really a troll. If you do have a problem with stuff like this, maybe allowing guests to post isn't a good idea - you can't really control them as well as members. Ultimately, though, this is up to you. :)

I bet you it won't be the last ;) (Unless, of course, you switch it off just to prove me wrong...)

Nope we will keep it on! We want to make it as open as possible for people to have their opinions :) :yippee:
