Recruiting Advanced Members

One goal I have is to recruit or encourage more advanced users to join the community with the goal of fostering a mentor system. Helpful knowledgable users can be a great help to newer or less experienced members. NOw how do I go about that?

Sounds like a good idea. My suggestion would be to look for companies/communities which are know for being good designers and try and set up some kind of partnership whereby they become members of your community.

Probably won't be very easy, but you might find that word of mouth will spread and others will take part.

First start could possibly be the designer involved in your new skin. Try and find one which would happily stick around after and become a contributer.
