HI.

I thought i would never say this, but we have one member who is talking to much. That isn't really the problem. It is his spelling and i am worried that he will turn away portential members.

What should i do?

Thanks,
Nathaniel

Can you clarify "talking too much"? Does he make long posts with lots of spelling errors, or a heap of pointless posts?

Send him a PM and let him know that is not allowed on your boards. Include it in the terms of use or something. You may have already fixed the problem at this point though!

1) Make a temporary rule that says "no frivolous posts".
2) Put up a banner for "get rid of Ebonics" with an affiliate link :)

You could try deleting some of his more frivolous and badly spelt posts, and return them to him in a pm explaining why you have deleted.

Then he may well get the message.

Add a reputation mod and give yourself a lot of red to him, and start some kinda shame topic about least reputed member :) good solution.

Hi. We gave him 1 warning and he cleared up his act and now posts good and true posts.

Thats the oddest thing ive ever heard someone posting too much! :D but im glad it worked out for the ebst, I know when I get people from other countries that post there english is not always too good but they seem so eager to post which makes it a really hard thing to do.
