In the forum index, there's a column that's titled Last Post.

If you click on the name of the thread, it takes you to (surprise!) the last post of the thread.

If you click on the arrow icon, it takes you to (surpise again!) the last post of the thread.

I would like the thread title to go to the beginning of the thread. Isn't that where threads usually link to?

I usually know if I've been in a thread. And going to the last post of a thread I know I haven't been in, is just annoying . . . to me. :breakhear

What's everyone else thinky?

I think the name of the thread should go to the thread, and not the last post. The button on the other hand should go straight to the last post.

I like it going to the last post. I have a habit of clickin' the link; not the button.

I agree. We can't have :breakhear around here. :hrmph:

But if it is a thread you have been in and it's a loooooooooong thread, why go all the way back to the beginning, only to click again to get to last page?

People who haven't read the thread yet may want to read it from the beginning, so we should give them a link that takes them to the beginning. :)

Why have 2 links that go to the same place when doing so takes away a link that some people would use? We already have the arrow icon that goes to the end of the thread. :fish:

my idea works perfectly. One link for the last post, one for the beginning.
